A community that supports local economic activity
A community that develops favorable conditions for economic and commercial projects led by entrepreneurs, the self-employed, the professions and other economic players, fostering synergies between them and with public services and residents.
CONTEXT
The proximity of the Brussels region and competition from digital players make it difficult to establish and maintain small businesses in our commune. On the other hand, the proximity of a major city and the accessibility of our municipality offer significant potential.
In addition, Wezembeek-Oppem is home to an estimated 1,300 self-employed people (shopkeepers, liberal professions, healthcare professionals, etc.).
Our position
The best way to help a local business is to give it as much visibility as possible. Commercial and professional activities promote local conviviality within the framework of short circuits. That's why we need to strengthen collaboration between economic players, the administration and Wokrabusiness.
OBJECTIveS 2030
Elegant, uniform signage in place for local businesses
Annual publication of the W-O Business Guide (print and digital)
Establishment of an Advisory Board and Local Economy Commission
