WHO WE ARE

The horizon list offers a unique synergy in Wezembeek-Oppem, fusing the passion and values of Wezem'move, Les Engagés, Open VLD, Ecolo and independent candidates. Together we form a united team, transcending traditional party boundaries to embrace a common vision: the well-being of the people of our commune. This gathering illustrates a shared desire to put forward policies that are participatory, ecological, liberal and socially responsible. Horizon is the embodiment of diversity of ideas and unity of action, ready to meet tomorrow's challenges with determination and a collaborative spirit.

Our Purpose

The List horizon is the result of a common desire on the part of the Wezem'Move citizens' movement, Les Engagés, Open-VLD, Ecolo and independent citizens, to join forces and create a political renewal. We want to offer the people of Wezembeek a credible, competent alternative that puts citizens back at the heart of municipal projects.

We wish to propose a bilingual and multicultural list in which the members share a vision of the future for Wezembeek-Oppem. We are determined to work together to find sustainable solutions, both to improve everyday life in the commune and to meet the challenges of the wider community.

Our Vision

Our vision has two inseparable dimensions: substance and form, and the innovative vector that links the two: citizen participation.

Basically, we want Wezembeek-Oppem to be a friendly, supportive and sustainable commune with a vibrant local economic life. Vibrant in every sense of the word. We want to offer the citizens of our commune a living environment that makes them proud to live here and happy to live here. Improving the quality of daily life in the commune is therefore the guiding principle behind our actions and policies.

In terms of form, we wish to transform communal governance with more transparent management and more dynamic communication aimed at all citizens. We also want to work in close collaboration with the administration, to ensure optimal management and high-quality public service.

On citizen participation: we want to innovate by involving citizens more closely in the life of the commune. This means providing citizens with more comprehensive information on current projects and decisions, creating forums where their voices can be heard, and using a variety of tools to co-construct projects.

We are convinced that together, thanks to our motivation, we will be able to create links between residents and find solutions that are in line with our vision and the central objective of the common good.

In this way, Wezembeek-Oppem will become a community where life is not only lived, but passionately desired and constantly improved by and for everyone.
