#6 YVES GOBERT

WHO AM I?

A member of Ecolo since the mid-1980s, this is the first time I've stood on an electoral list: ... the wonderful collective adventure of the Horizon list convinced me to make my contribution to this desire to improve daily life for the benefit of all and to participate in the political renewal of our municipality with our bilingual list.

I have lived in the commune since 1986, in a housing estate in the centre of the commune, where my wife and I have raised our three children.

After working for 6 years in a development NGO and as a federal civil servant for 35 years, I'm now retired, which means I have more time for myself ... and for the community.

My Motivations

My values are those of political ecology. And municipal politics has the specificity of being able to take concrete action for people's day-to-day well-being while participating at local level in the fight against global warming. Active in a number of associations, my main area of interest is mobility, and over the last few years I have been involved in the work of an advisory committee that has accompanied the municipal mobility plan. My ecology can only be understood by combining the protection of our planet with service to the public, and that's the challenge I want to continue to take up.

my Priorities

  • A mobility policy that calms neighbourhoods and makes all road users safer by avoiding conflicts of use and improving sensitive areas.

  • Coherent, sustainable urban planning that enriches our living environment, respects nature and promotes social cohesion

  • A proactive energy policy that encourages and supports energy investment.

  • The promotion of soft mobility, for pedestrians (pavement plan!) and cyclists (signposted cycle routes), and shared mobility: better development of tram 39 stops and the main bus stops.

Resolutely soft mobility
