#21 Robert De Lille
WHO AM I?
With 36 years of experience in public administration as a Defense officer and 16 years as a municipal councillor (first in Wemmel and since 2019 in Wezembeek), including the last 3 years as president of the municipal council, I have a strong background in public service. Married, father of 5 children, and grandfather of 3 grandchildren in Berlin, my (step)children live scattered around the world, from Brussels to Sydney, via Toronto, Berlin, and Frankfurt.
My Motivations
My desire is to apply user experience techniques to municipal services, in order to become more efficient by using feedback from our citizens in municipal and intermunicipal processes.
User experience analyzes the interactions of users with a service to continuously improve it.
Municipal processes are strictly defined, but it is possible to integrate the user experience approach and put our citizens back at the center.
My priorities
Increase the capacity for action of residents by embedding a user-experience culture in the municipal administration within two legislative terms.
Establish a municipal support structure for our caregivers, who will become increasingly numerous due to the lack of available spaces in medical facilities.
Anticipate the consequences of climate change for the municipality: plant trees, diversify energy sources, implement shared and multimodal mobility, and strengthen biodiversity.
Put my 36 years of experience in public administration at the service of the residents of Wezembeek-Oppem.
