WHO AM I?
Proud Wezembeek citizen of 33 years, I have had the chance to grow up in this magnificent municipality, where I now live with my wife and our two young children Thiago and Rosalie.
I am an optimistic intrapreneur, driven by the desire to co-build innovative solutions. My unwavering commitment and perseverance have allowed me to carry out solid projects, based on collaboration and living together. Whether within my hockey team, where I have been playing since the age of 7, in scouting, where I served as a leader for more than five years, or within Wezem'Move, our citizen movement that I have been supporting for three years, I have always worked to reconcile divergent points of view and unite people.
Trilingual and a graduate in management engineering from UCL, I have more than ten years of professional experience in finance, IT and consulting. I am described as a reliable, attentive, enthusiastic, and hard-working leader. And it is precisely this ability to synthesize ideas, combined with my empathy and attentive listening, that brings me today to lead our list.
My Motivations
As a citizen, I first participated in the creation of the citizen movement Wezem'Move for more transparency and participation in municipal decisions. We then realized that to strengthen democracy in Wezembeek-Oppem, we needed to make an even stronger commitment, which led us to co-create the Horizon list.
Quickly, I realized that my professional experience combined with my dynamism could be decisive for this project of creating a list. Moreover, it is a precious opportunity for me to actively contribute to the improvement of the society in which we live and in which we aspire to live better. At the intersection of the three pillars of our society – economy, social, and environment – it is the challenge of sustainability that excites me.
I perceive my political mandate as a way to use my skills and time for the community in which I live. Elections are a first step towards undertaking great things together. If I am elected, I will devote the necessary time to this mandate, adapting my current job accordingly.
My priorities
I want to take this opportunity to reinvest in our municipality and in our citizens to bring it back to life. Let's make Wezembeek-Oppem a village where it is good to live at the gates of our capital. To do this, I want to:
Develop a Coherent Urban Plan: Create an urban plan that takes into account the current and future needs of the municipality, integrating a global vision for harmonious and sustainable development.
Redesign the Local Economy: Support local businesses and initiatives to stimulate the economy, shops, and liberal professions, and to strengthen the economic dynamism of the municipality.
Environment: Promote concrete actions to protect and improve our environment, while enhancing the quality of life for citizens. Prioritize the ecological transition, sustainable resource management, and the preservation of green spaces to offer a healthy, pleasant, and prosperous living environment for everyone.
Promote Social Cohesion: Stimulate interactions by multiplying opportunities for exchange and meetings, to strengthen the bond between residents and create a real community spirit.
Good Governance: Ensure transparent and efficient management, centered on the interests of the citizens, by streamlining decision-making bodies and appointing responsible individuals based on their skills rather than political affiliations.
Healthy Finances: Ensure rigorous and transparent management of municipal finances, ensuring the efficiency of public spending.
Participation & Transparency: Encourage citizen participation in the development of the municipality by ensuring clear and transparent communication. We want to make information and elected officials accessible to strengthen citizens' trust and promote more inclusive and responsible governance.
