WHO AM I?

I am running as a candidate in the municipal elections today, motivated by the love I have for our beautiful municipality and by my deep desire to contribute to its harmonious and inclusive development. As a resident of Wezembeek-Oppem for thirty years and mother of three children, I am active in local life, particularly as a member of the school council. I initiated the citizen café project, which opened on September 1, 2024, and the play street project, scheduled for early 2025. As a general practitioner, I co-founded a medical center in Stockel to provide quality care to everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background. My commitment is focused on strengthening community bonds and co-creating innovative projects with the citizens.

My Motivations

Everything started four years ago, when I wanted to delve deeper into what was happening behind the scenes of our municipality. Together with a group of friends, we felt the need for more transparency and participation. I know that some citizens want to get involved, and I want them to feel supported. I also see the tensions that certain projects cause. I want to strengthen the proximity between citizens and elected officials, as they must be the representatives of our collective voice, moving forward hand in hand with us.

I am particularly concerned with the need to make nature accessible to every resident, from cradle to the end of life. A protected and accessible environment is essential for everyone's well-being, and I am committed to promoting initiatives that protect our environment, while ensuring that everyone can enjoy its benefits.

I firmly believe in a strong citizen movement, capable of building a network that allows us to co-create projects that meet the needs of everyone. Let’s innovate, embrace new tools, and be inspired by successes elsewhere, for a vibrant municipality, respectful of nature and caring for its citizens.

I count on your support to bring these values and this vision to our municipality. Together, we can make Wezembeek-Oppem a place where everyone thrives.

My priorities

  • Access to outdoor sports facilities for everyone

  • Preserved nature (protected from new real estate projects)

  • Meeting spaces that foster connections

For a municipality that takes care
